There are plenty of quality beaches nearby to the campsite that will suit everyone. Below are some links:
Public footpaths and walks in the area are in abundance and one is adjacent to the campsite. Peddars Way is about 5 miles from the campsite.
Cycling enthusiasts come to our campsite as it has access to a number of less travelled roads and small villages. Cyclist that have stayed with us have clocked up hundreds of miles and visited many coastal villages, Sandringham and Holkham. Further cycling information can be found here.
There are a wide variety of pubs and restaurants nearby and some are listed below:
You have picked the right campsite if you enjoy golf. There are numerous golf courses around the area to suit any handicap level. Mike is an avid golfer and plays off a 10 handicap. He is a member at Heacham Manor and he will be more than happy to suggest a course for you to play based on your ability and preference. He may even join you if you are looking for a game and he has played at all of the fantastic courses below.

As there are just so many great courses around then have a look at tee times where you can see pricing for a number of courses and book on line.
We do have some pretty high tides on occasion
here in Norfolk. There is a tide table that lists the high and low
tides in the campsite office but you can have a look prior to your
arrival so you may plan your day to the beach. Click here to see
the tidal
forecast but also recommended is local beach safety and
advice. We do support the RNLI which saves so many lives
per year but sadly not all. The sea is upredictable even on a calm
sunny day so do be careful out there. Beware of rip tides as they
will put even the strongest swimmer into danger. Rip currents are
the cause of 80% of the rescues carried out by beach
lifeguards.
Many stately Halls and Estates are nearby to the campsite. A few of these are Holkham Hall, Sandringham Estate which is where Her MajestyThe Queen spends the Christmas Holidays, Houghton Hall and Blickling Hall. These are all worth a visit whilst you are in the area but dogs are not permitted in most cases.
We are quite fortunate to have an hourly bus service to Fakenham and Kings Lynn. Many of our campers have left the car behind and went to Norwich shopping and also used the Coast Hopper to see all of the sea front and villages.
The bus stops are less than 200 yards from the campsite.
The te nearest train station
to us is
Kings Lynn but also within a reasonable distance
is Downham Market.
There are a lot of
National Trust sites
and properties in our area. Some of these are located in Norfolk's Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty.
Bird watching in Norfolk is ever popular and a favourite
past time of many of our guests. A popular spot is Cley marshes as
well as the many RSPB sites that are within 20 minute drive of the
campsite.
